Missions
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
Why We Do Missions.
Matthew 28:19–20 contains what is called the Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Jesus gave this command to the apostles shortly before He ascended into heaven, and it essentially outlines what Jesus expected the apostles and those who followed Him to do in His absence.
How is this accomplished?
Riverview is fulfilling this command through the local church and outreaches to our community, but also through international missionary partners. Our church currently supports our international missionary partners in 3 ways: by providing financial support, prayer support and by helping missionaries on the field via short term mission trips. Our prayer for the future is to continue to be a blessing to those missionary partners the Lord brings, but also to come alongside and provide support and training to men called by God to plant churches on the mission field.
You don’t need fancy theological degrees or special training or skills to be involved in missions. All that is required is a personal faith in Jesus Christ and a willingness to be obedient and serve others.
Please contact us if you are interested in helping in any of the following ways or have other ideas of how you can be a part of reaching the nations for Christ.

Global Missions Ministry Partners
Jay & Carmen Bentley Family
Durango, Mexico
Jay and Carmen got married in 2002. They moved to Texas from California in 2005 to raise a family, but the Lord had different plans for the Bentley family. In October 2009, Jay and Carmen along with their 4 children (now 5) moved to Durango, Mexico to see what the Lord might do. They have now been on the mission field for more than 14 years and all they can say is that God has been faithful and the Lord has done great things! Currently, they have a church named Capilla Calvario Durango with about 250 people and in 2021 they started a Christian School as part of the ministry through the church. Join us in praying for this wonderful family and these ministries the Lord has entrusted in their care!

Martin & Adriana Solis Family
Reynosa, Mexico
"God saved us in 2004, restored our broken marriage and lives and immediately opened a door for us to serve Him at Calvary Chapel San Antonio. After one year, God called us back home to the Rio Grande Valley in deep south Texas, to serve alongside pastor Edward Hernandez and his family doing missions work in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. We had no idea this would be our missionary training for years later when God would call us as full-time missionaries to Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Truly, by the grace of God, we get to serve our Saviour Jesus Christ here in this foreign land. The Lord opened a door for me to plant (and pastor) the church Calvary Chapel Reynosa here in Reynosa, Mexico, which began with a small Bible study. Our vision is evangelism and to go into our communities to share the gospel and the love of Jesus. We have several evangelistic events throughout the year and God continues to open doors for us to share the gospel. To Him be the Glory!"
